Adaptive Facade Design & Fabrication with Arduino

This work start as a small personal project, was later wraped up for CADDRIA 2018,  sadly it didn’t get published because only one unit was made due to the limitation of resources, not the whole facade. Nevertheless I feel pretty pround of this projects, and learn a bit of everything along the way, including coding, mechanical design and simulation, 3d printing, even welding.

The movement of each facade is controlled by servo motor, based on feedback illumiance from a grid of photosensors. The  measured data was recorded and visulized in Grasshopper envoriment.
